This Day In History…

I know buddy…I’m feeling old too…

6 YEARS?!

Bleeker launched online 6 years ago today in the Summer of 2006. As I said before, I initially gave it 6 months to see how it would go…and I’m still wondering;)

The one thing I have confirmed after all these years is…I will never get my comics done ahead of my deadlines. I always think I can get a week or two ahead but that never seems to materialize (like trying to push two like pole magnets together!) So, as I write this I am very-very-behind….again….~groan~

However, the other thing I have discovered is it’s a real blast to be still drawing these guys after all that time! It remains a work in progress and that’s what keeps it fun. There’s always room to explore new stories and drawings…and most importantly, fantastic readers who keep the conversation going! Many thanks to all of you and here’s to another 6 months!

…or more:)

  1. Hm…I think the reason you never get ahead of your deadlines is because you put so much time and effort into your strip. It’s pretty clear to me that Bleeker is a labor of love and the quality of the comic is improving every day.

  2. I agree with Moth. While I’ve only been a fan of this strip from only the beginning of this year, it has quickly made it’s way to my top daily comics list, simply because of the artwork and the storylines.

Congratulations on the 6-years, and indeed I (and a couple of my mates that I forced to read this comic) are eagerly anticipating the outcome of Bleeker and friends’ adventures as they progress!

  3. Maybe it’s still to early to have some sorta post-post-modern guest robot artist do the strip for a week or two with pull down option panels.

Or, maybe a fan contest to win Bleeker storyline writing spots.

    Or….
